Things to consider when upgrading the exterior of your home

A successful home remodeling project is only as good as the research and planning that goes into it. Below are some things to keep in mind. Depending on the project, I often bring samples of various materials and colors to help give my clients an idea of what is currently popular and available for their home.

1. Longevity

Although it is not as fun or exciting as picking out colors and decor for your home, thinking about how to improve the longevity of your home is crucial. Things such as ensuring the gutters and downspouts are in good condition and free from debris, treating any wood surfaces are not protected properly, checking that roofing is not raised in spots or showing wear and tear from the elements, and making sure that windows are efficient and not allowing water or air into your home. 2. Efficiency
