Hello! We are so glad you’re here.
First off. We are friendly folks. Always professional but also friendly. You should NEVER feel uncomfortable in your own home. Anyone who works with Burkhard Remodeling is an honest hardworking tradesman that has been vetted and thoroughly trained. On occasion, we work with other reputable local companies that can assist with your projects such as structural engineers, specialty plumbers and electricians and you can trust in knowing that we only work with the most reputable businesses that have served our community successfully for many years.
About Rob
Rob has been in the construction industry for over 25 years (Yes, he is THAT old!) He has a good reputation in the area and has worked on projects over the years with many reputable companies. One of his biggest strengths is his ability to problem solve issues that sometimes arise (especially on century homes as older homes love to give us surprises). Rob really enjoys finishing drywall as well and can match just about any existing texture. You’d be hard pressed to find anyone say about word about him personally or professionally. He loves working with his design software to come up with solutions for awkward layouts in both kitchens and bathrooms.2
In his early years in the skilled trades Rob had the opportunity to have some of the most well-respected mentors. Before joining the workforce, he graduated from Wayne County Career Center’s carpentry program. He has taken courses over the years and is always learning new techniques and testing new products for his clients. He loves all things tool related, of course! He has a really cool drywall dust extraction system that takes a lot of the mess from drywall out of the equation, which has been a benefit to us and our customers.
Our Family
Burkhard Remodeling is a locally owned and operated family business based i Perry Township, Massillon, Ohio. What that means is, when you work with us, you’re helping to pay for our chocolate lab’s vet bill, our son’s college tuition, and keeping food on our table as well as supporting others who work for or with us. We truly love building relationships with all of you. Most of our clients call again and again and we get to form real relationships. We see kids grow up, folks downsize, first homes purchased, and so much more.
We enjoy going to Oak Island, NC for vacation each year. We have a teen son who is a guitarist and has mild autism and Crohn’s disease. Rob’s wife Shauna is a local Realtor and owns a few Etsy shops. She is the friendly voice you hear when you call to schedule an estimate or have questions. We like to garden, enjoy eating at local restaurants, and going for walks at Sippo Lake Park and our other Summit and Stark County Parks.
We donate turkeys and Thanksgiving fixings to Perry Helping Perry annually. We also donate to Toys for Tots, and some local shelters as well.
Commitment to our Community
Burkhard Remodeling is a locally owned and operated family business based in Perry Township, Massillon, Ohio. We love Northeast Ohio. We live here, play here, and work here. We believe that supporting local business is crucial to the economy and well-being of our area.
We visit our local farmer’s markets, enjoy the parks with our dog, and try new foods at all of the local spots. Yes, we are Browns & Cavs fans but won’t hold it against you if you’re not.
We try our best to give back to those in need and to the services that help our fellow community members. We donate turkeys and all of the fixings to Perry Helping Perry annually, we also make contributions to the women’s shelter, and animal shelters throughout the year. We generally sponsor at least two local sports teams per year as well. Right now, we are sponsoring the Bulldog Equestrians and Massillon Basketball. We do these things not because we want recognition but just because we feel giving back is something we should ALL be a part of.
