Remodeling can be stressful. Money, deadlines, permits, so many choices to choose from, confusing estimates, and more. We try to alleviate a lot of that stress at Burkhard Remodeling by providing you with detailed digital mockups of your space, easy to understand estimates, timelines, and communication throughout the project. Our work is guaranteed, and if an issue would arise, that would take top priority in getting sorted pronto. Also, we call our clients after their projects are complete on occasion just to check in and ensure everything is working great for them. We are always a call or text away, 7 days a week!

1. Our estimates

When you reach out to us, we will get your estimate scheduled for a day and time within a week or so that works for you. Generally, estimates take between 30 minutes to 90 minutes depending on the size of your project. If you simply need a few small repairs, that info can generally be given over the phone without a need to pay you a visit. Large project estimates take time. This is because of all of the details and planning that go into it. Rob does not like to throw out ballpark numbers and then during a project keep adding more costs. Instead, he tries to think of everything in advance and get you the closest realistic estimate as possible. Sometimes adding in a contingency fund makes since for a project- especially in 100+ year old century homes. This way, the homeowner can budget for the potential hiccups, but, if they do not occur, the total at the end is then less.

2. Digital design software

When remodeling a bathroom or kitchen and changing the layout, Rob likes to use digital design software to show his clients some realistic-looking mockups of what their space will look like. It is so hard to visualize changes sometimes, and this part of the process really helps everyone make the best decisions to create something that is both beautiful and functional also.

3. Communication & Coordinating

Which method works best for you? We will keep in touch via text, email, or phone during the time you’re awaiting the start of your project, and once it does start, you’ll see Rob everyday all day! Yes. We are not a company that subcontracts everything out. Rob actually does the work on each home he gives an estimate on along with our trusty skilled tradesmen. If there is ever a time that something needs to be performed by someone outside of Burkhard Remodeling, Rob will let you know- this could be a masonry contractor for instance, or an electrician. But we work in conjunction with some of the best professionals in our area.

We break larger jobs down into sections for you. You’ll get emails with what to expect each week from start to finish. At the end of each day, Rob will go over the progress from the day with you and see if you have questions.
